We wanted to follow up with you with some updated information on our plans to reopen the facility. After countless discussions with staff, city leaders, and metro-wide park departments, it became clear over the past few of days that we need to push back our reopening date to June 1...and for members only! This may be disappointing, but we hope you understand that it was not an easy decision, and one that was made to allow us to best serve all of our members. We know our patrons are excited to come back, and we are excited to serve everyone again! However, we found that with all of the restrictions in place by the State order, we could only offer about one-third of our services, while providing a clean, safe environment for you and our staff. On May 14, there would have been limited class offerings and class sizes, no Kids Corner, no kids’ classes, and no rec pool. We also could not offer open basketball or volleyball in the gym, and about half of our machines on the fitness level would be unavailable. We consider High Blue a family-friendly facility, and yet we could not offer any real family services…and limited services to others. But we think there is good news to share! On June 1, most of the restrictions are lifted…which means most of our services would be available, including open court play and acces to both indoor pools. That also would include opening most of the equipment on the fitness level and fewer limitations in group classes and the garage gym.We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this together. When we reopen on June 1, we just want to make sure we offer services that all of our members can enjoy…and in a safe, clean facility! And, please know we are still working out the details on when the automatic bank draft will resume, but you will not be charged for any days the facility was closed!
