As a reminder, it is the policy of the Belton Park Department to cancel all aerobics classes with the cancellation of the Belton School District. Take a look at all current schedules here.
All water classes are considered no impact, and all classes can be modified for beginners. There are three different levels of classes: beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
- Arthritis Flow
Incorporates the buoyancy of water and the soothing warmth of a heated pool to make a safe, ideal environment for relieving arthritis pain and stiffness. Gentle movements increase joint flexibility and range of motion, while restoring or maintaining muscle strength.
Join us in the pool for a variety of exercises that can help you build strength and increase your range of movement. A SilverSneakers kickboard is provided for balance support, and you don’t need swim skills!
- Twist and Shout
Low impact. This class allows you to learn with moderate intensity through dance how fun exercise can be. Fitness, endurance, strength, and flexibility will also be emphasized!
- Yoga H2o-Yoga is fantastic for stretching and strengthening the body, add water to it and you have no impact just a great stretch!
- Aqua Blast-Cardio, with a lot of toning, Resistance in the water is great to tone and add strength to your program.
- Aqua Fit - Water isn’t just for beginners. Learn how to get a great workout in the water no matter what your fitness level is! You will improve muscle tone, flexibility, cardiovascular fitness, and increased range of motion! The river will be used in some classes, as well as weights.
- Cardio Slam
This is a high intensity class in the recreation pool, and weights, bands, and noodles are used!
- Deep Water
lap pool is used, great core workout, the laps are great for cardio!
- Making Waves-Dance to the beat of the rhythm, tone and burn calories to energetic tunes. Let the Rhythm get ya!
- Boot Camp
This class is most likely the hardest of our water classes, but it is for people of all ages! Modify as you go! The instructor will lead you through cardio as well as many strength training drills! Great workout!
